Industries & References

IPOL accompanies industrial and logistics companies of various sectors worldwide. Every single industry and ultimately every company has its own peculiarities and specifics, which we address individually in our projects.

Automotive Industry and its Suppliers

From the beginning IPOL has been at home in the automotive and automotive supplier industry. A high product complexity and variety of variants are reflected in demanding planning, production and logistics processes and are characteristic for this industry. Deadline pressure, loose-bound prefabrication, sequenced component assembly, short order lead times and inventories are typical challenges in the supplier sector. Our experience and best practices from several hundred projects make us the right partner for complex issues.

Aviation Industry and its Suppliers

The aviation industry and especially the supplier sector is characterized by highly complex individual components and parts, which often have to pass through a large number of process stages over several months, sometimes cyclically. Such processes place high demands on production planning and control. Production and assembly are characterized by high-precision machining and a high proportion of testing and quality processes. Long material procurement times limit flexibility and pose great challenges for material planning and supply chain management. We will be happy to support you in this.

Series and Contract Manufacturers

From the automotive industry, we have a high level of understanding of series production and assembly processes. This expertise can also be transferred to other series and contract manufacturers in the fields of metal processing, forming technology, casting technology, plastics processing, surface technology, textile industry, component assembly and many others. The variety of variants in these industries is usually manageable, the processing is usually done in larger lots and has a serial character. An external "automotive view" of these processes therefore usually leads to radical process innovations and efficiency increases. We would be happy to convince you of this.

Special Vehicle Construction

Special vehicle construction is a kind of hybrid between classic vehicle construction and mechanical engineering. Typical special vehicles are construction machinery, forestry and agricultural machinery, municipal vehicles, industrial trucks, emergency vehicles of rescue organizations, mobile homes, military technology, etc. Production and assembly often have a serial character, but with much smaller quantities and basic variants than in classical vehicle construction. In addition, customer-specific wishes and adaptations must often be integrated into the production process, which places high demands on the flexibility of manufacturing, assembly, logistics and procurement processes

Mechanical Engineering

A high degree of product variance combined with low quantities or small series characterize the production landscape in mechanical and plant engineering. Products are often highly complex and individual, with a high proportion of in-house production and a correspondingly high depth of added value. Planning approaches from the series business do not work here. In mechanical engineering, flexible production processes that quickly adapt to the individuality of products and projects are crucial. Due to the high process variety and complexity, a mature production planning as well as a profound digitalization of processes is necessary to be able to manufacture efficiently and with low throughput times.

Logistics & Trade

Efficient transport, fast receipt of goods, efficient warehousing, picking and distribution of goods are the core competencies of logistics service providers and trading companies. The challenges here lie in the reduction of action steps and transport routes, as well as in the lowest possible warehousing while maintaining a high level of service and product availability. The efficient control of the internal material flows of warehouses, freight traffic centers and wholesalers requires a high level of IT integration. Innovative warehouse concepts, hardware and transport technology can achieve high increases in efficiency. We will be happy to advise you.

Other industries

IPOL works with over 180 customers from various industries. Among them are companies with products for very specific applications, which we would like to summarize here. We serve customers from the construction supply industry, furniture manufacturers, producers of technical glass, electronics manufacturers, producers of measuring and sensor technology, toolmakers and many more. Common to all customers is the production of serial piece goods, end products, individual parts or assemblies in various degrees of complexity.
